Farmers’ market

Every Saturday (from 8am to 1pm) in the centre of Belley. It is an opportunity to visit the city and its episcopal palace, to discover many producers on the market and to leave with cheese, cold cuts and a blueberry pie.

Chanaz

Nicknamed “the little Savoyard Venice” because of the presence of the Savières canal, is a charming village, where you can take a boat and discover the Bourget lake. Many craftsmen will allow you to find an original souvenir gift.

The Sugar Loaf Waterfall

A beautiful family walk which will allow you to discover this stalagmite of rock where the river “La Béze” falls of about ten meters before throwing itself in the Séran. Today a parking lot and a large sign will indicate that you are on the site. Read more

The Gorges of Thurignin

A magnificent walk where water is present everywhere. Starting from the campsite, you will cross a typical Bugist village where you will discover many houses with lauze roofs, fountains, wash houses will decorate your circuit. This very particular natural site, you will see canyons, pools dug by the Seran. If you like beautiful pictures, you will not be disappointed. Read more

Hautecombe Abbey

It is an active abbey, located on the western shore of Lake Bourget in Savoy.
It is occupied by a religious community. It was built in the 12th century in the Gothic troubadour style.
The visits are done thanks to an audio headset, translated in 10 languages. Super !!!! and the site is grandiose.
What are the rates? 3,50€ for adults and free for children up to 18 years old.
